Support poured in from police forces across Ontario after five officers were killed and seven were wounded in downtown Dallas as a result of an “ambush style” shooting Thursday night.

Many took to their official 桑拿会所 accounts to express condolences to the Dallas Police Department including Toronto Police Chief Mark Saunders.

Toronto Police Association President Mike McCormack, who represents the largest contingent of officers in Canada, called the sniper shootings a “hateful act of murder.”

“It really impacts not only the policing community, but the broader community as well,” McCormack said.

London and Halton police also tweeted a picture of the Dallas police badge with a black ribbon on one of them.

At least two Snipers opened fire on police officers in the heart of downtown Dallas around 8:45 p.m. while hundreds of people were gathered to protest fatal police shootings this week in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and suburban St. Paul, Minnesota.

Video footage from the Dallas scene showed protesters marching along a street near City Hall when the shots erupted and the crowd scattered.

Police said three people are in custody and a fourth suspect was reportedly killed during a standoff.

The fatal police shootings occurred in a week when two black men were killed by officers in a span of 24 hours.

A Minnesota officer fatally shot Philando Castile while he was in a car with a woman and a child in a St. Paul suburb. A day earlier, Alton Sterling was shot in Louisiana after being pinned to the pavement by two white officers.
